Anzio’s Italian Restaurant

Anzio’s never disappoints…ever.

The cheesy garlic bread is soooooo good! You order a this as an appetizer, make sure and order some sauce on the side to dip it in. Also, make sure that your prepared for the quantity. This isn’t one or two pieces of bread. It’s an entire plate/basket of cheesy bread, with 6-8 pieces in it (I can’t remember exactly). It’s crispy all the way around, even under the cheese, with the perfect amount of garlic salt under the cheese and the cheese is perfectly melted and toasted over the top.

The Caesar salad is one of the best we’ve had. The croutons are crisp and crunchy, but not hard. The lettuce is always fresh. The dressing is flavorful but not too heavy. Best of all, the salad is topped with fresh-shaved Parmesan cheese…so good!

The lasagna is the only thing my wife orders when we go to Anzio’s and it’s the gold standard in her eyes, that all other lasagnas are held to. The sauce is bold and full of flavor. The pasta is cooked perfectly al dente and the cheese is melty and golden brown on top. The flavors all marry together and create a perfect lasagna symphony of flavor.

The Spicy Shrimp Linguine is my favorite at Anzio’s. It’s filling, it’s creamy, it’s spicy, and it’s got a ton of shrimp in it! Do I really need to say anything more than that? I think the only thing that would make this dish better, would be to do it with a cheese ravioli as the base, combine it with the shrimp, toss it all in this creamy, spice sauce…wow, that would be a winner!

Anyway, if you’re looking for a classic Italian meal for dinner at a decent price, drop into Anzio’s and eat pasta to your heart’s content. Neither your heart or your stomach will be sorry you did.
